Behind the village lies the natural park of the Lagunas de La Mata y Torrevieja, with the pink salt lagoon and walking and cycling paths. Torrevieja town centre is about 10 minutes away, Guardamar del Segura likewise, and the Habaneras shopping centre 5 minutes. Alicante airport is around 40 km away, a good half hour by car. Beach life with the calm of a village.
